So, while I buy a new headset, get the very first baby adventure ported into Fantasy Grounds, and generally pull my head from my posterior, let's discuss what kinds of characters we'd like to play.
Not just mechanics-wise but also background stories, personalities, etc.
I'm considering writing a 20 questions type interview profile for the characters, but maybe this group has enough experience that they don't need that kind of crutch. What do you think?

This is the world of Athas, where the Dark Sun burns the land. Pretty cool map!

So, I've finished the "break-in" adventure and ported it into Fantasy Grounds. It's a little weird, a little short, and probably a lot flawed, but it should serve its purposes. 1)To get us familiar (if not adept) with the rules of 4e, and the mechanics of the Fantasy Grounds VTT 2)To set up a tiny bit of trivial back story for the upcoming 'real' campaign. While meditating on the nature of "pie" I overheard this on the ether:
Zack: Just like the Metaphor of the Cave.
Steve: What's that?
Zack: It's where you go into a cave with a wizard and use a sword to kill Plato.

No tupperware here, ladies and germs. My name is Ankharyo and I am MAAAAAAAD.... about saving you money! I got whatever you need. Luxuries, necessities, amenities and antiquities! If you can think of it, I can procure it! Want a tree that bears fruit and never needs water! POOF! There it is! Want a harem that you can put in your pocket? BAMF! It's yours, cheap! I have from one end of Arthas to the other! From the Silt Sea to the Temple in Tyr, I've seen it all, heard it all, tasted it all, and sometimes rode off on it all. What's that, you say?
When I was young, I played D&D. Krynn, Greyhawk, Forgotten Realms, you name it. When Dark Sun came out, I thought it was the strangest thing I had ever seen. Strange and AWESOME. This site is a chronicle of a campaign run entirely over the Internet, using the new, 4th edition rules and setting for the world of Athas.
